Report Blue Badge misuse

You can report suspected misuse of a Blue Badge securely and anonymously online.

Before you start

To investigate an allegation of misuse, we need to know the individual's Blue Badge number.

You'll also need to provide the:

  • name and address of the Blue Badge holder (if known)
  • description of the person displaying the Blue Badge
  • registration number of the vehicle using the badge
  • vehicle make and model
  • date the misuse took place
  • circumstances of suspected misuse

Examples of Blue Badge misuse include:

  • giving the badge to friends or family to use
  • using a copied badge to park
  • changing the details on the badge
  • using the badge on the holder's behalf, such as shopping
  • allowing a non-disabled person to take advantage of the badge's benefits while the holder sits in the car
  • displaying the badge when you no longer need it

The Blue Badge scheme guidance on GOV.UK explains more about when and how a badge can be used.
