Healthy Child Services consultation

The council is consulting on a number of different areas within the Healthy Child Service.

What is being consulted on

The areas covered by this consultation are:

  • Support to Young Parents (under 21): Family Nurse Partnerships and the Young Parent's Pathway
  • School Nursing
  • Health Visiting

Why we are consulting

We are consulting because we want to understand how the proposed changes to these services could affect the people who use and deliver them.

The proposals are part of a wider redesign to make sure services remain sustainable, make the best use of available resources, and are focused on their core role of supporting children, young people and families through prevention, early help and safeguarding.

No final decisions have been made, and all feedback received during the consultation will be carefully considered before a decision is taken later this year.

What happens next

Once the consultation is complete, we will analyse and review the feedback received. This will then be used to informal and shape the final decision. The results of this consultation will be published as part of the decision-making process.
