Fire in an outside storage area

Five crews attended to a fire in an outside storage area near the B&M Store.

They used thermal imaging cameras, two hose reel jets and two 45m jets to tackle the fire. The fire was contained to the yard, and prevented from spreading to the building.

Local residents and businesses were advised to keep doors and windows closed due to smoke in the area.

Police were in attendance to assist with traffic management in the local area.

A stop was called at 7:10pm, with two crews remaining on scene to check for hotspots.
