Open from 10am - 3pm, arrive any time, stay as long as you like. The day will feature a range of interactive activities and displays for all ages, including:

• Meet with our chargepoint operators following the installation of on-street chargepoints around Suffolk

How to get there

Parking on the Park and Ride site itself is free if you arrive by car, there are 8 EV charging spaces on site. Alternatively, take the Park and Ride bus from the town centre. You can access the site using the nearby cycle path. You can find out more about London Road Park and Ride at the First Bus website. 

There are toilets available inside the terminal building at the Park and Ride. 

Bike Doctor

Does your bike need repair? Book a free 30-minute slot at the event with Suffolk County Council's Bike Doctor (Dr Bike) for safety checks and minor repairs. Email us to reserve a slot and we'll be in touch with further details. Contact us at evcharging@suffolk.gov.uk

EV test drive experience

To test drive an electric vehicle at the event you must have held a full UK driving licence for a minimum of two years and be over 21 years of age. On the day you will need to bring:

• Your UK photo card driving licence
• A printed copy of your Personal Driving Licence Check and your ‘GET A CODE’ reference which you can create by visiting the GOV.UK website.
• Your National Insurance Number

Once verified at the event, you will receive a wristband which you can then show to EV providers. Drivers will be informed of any specific requirements during registration.
