Download Suffolk Guidance for Parking (updated 2019) (PDF, 1MB)
The Suffolk Guidance for Parking technical guidance document replaced the Suffolk Advisory Parking Standards (2002) following public consultation in November 2014.
In 2015 and 2019 the document was updated to reflect new government guidance.
You should use the guidance for the planning of developments which are:
- new
- have been extended
- have changed use
Local planning authorities will take this guidance into account when determining planning applications.
However, our guidance is only one factor used by local planning authorities when judging applications. Parking provisions will be considered alongside existing local policy and all other material planning considerations.
