Suffolk County Council supports businesses to reduce their carbon emissions, and works closely with our suppliers and their supply chains.

This is to ensure that the environmental impact of the Council’s procurement of goods, services and works is minimised in line with ambitions to achieve net zero.

Supporting our supply chain

Suffolk County Council’s net zero ambitions are affected by the services and products we buy. Around 91% of the emissions we measure are associated with this supply chain.

Therefore, we actively work with our suppliers to monitor and improve their environmental impact.

The Carbon Charter provides guidance, support, and recognition to small and medium businesses throughout Suffolk and Norfolk as they take positive action towards Net Zero
