Non-statutory consultation to provide a new 420-place Primary School and 90-place Pre-School at Brightwell Lakes.

Our consultation on a proposal to provide a new Primary School and Pre-School at Brightwell Lakes.

Suffolk County Council (SCC) is consulting on a proposal to provide a new 420 place (2 form of entry) Primary School and 90 place Pre-School. The site has capacity for future expansion if required to a total of 630 places at the Primary School.

The future provision of a 600 place secondary school, master planned to 900 places has also been approved in the Outline Planning permission. When planning is progressed for this, this would utilise additional allocated land north-east of the primary school boundary.

A drop-in session will be held at Waldringfield Village Hall, IP12 4QP on Thursday 16 July 3:30–6:30pm where plans will be displayed and representatives from SCC, Concertus and the school will be available to discuss the proposal and answer questions.

This non-statutory pre-application planning consultation will enable us to gather the views of parents and local residents prior to the submission of the planning application. It does not affect the right to comment on the proposals during the statutory planning consultation process.
