Car fire in Bungay

Fire crews attended reports of a car on fire in Wainford Road, Bungay.  When crews arrived, the vehicle was well alight and positioned close to a hedgerow. Crews extinguished the fire and prevented spread to the hedgerow, by using a single hose reel jet and breathing apparatus to protect from smoke. The scene was then handed over to Suffolk Highways due to damage to the road surface.
