Building fire in Brandon

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was alerted to smoke coming from a property on Market Hill in Brandon.

On arrival, crews discovered a fire at the rear of one of buildings, which had also affected two vehicles.

Six crews attended (3x Bury St Edmunds, 2x Norfolk, 1x Mildenhall), and used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire, supported by four firefighters in breathing apparatus.

All people were accounted for with no reports of any injuries. Firefighters rescued one dog.

A stop was called at 1:34am, two crews remained on scene for a further hour to check for any hotspots with thermal imaging cameras - they returned to their stations around 2:30am.
