A140 Road Traffic Collision

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was called to a road traffic collision on the A140 at the junction of Roman Road and The Street, shortly after 1.20pm on Saturday 22 August.

Fire crews from Diss attended following reports of a person trapped in a vehicle.

On arrival, firefighters worked alongside the ambulance service (ref 1777) and police (ref 154) to assist those involved in the collision. One casualty was released from the vehicle with the assistance of fire crews and was transferred into the care of the ambulance service.

Firefighters used hydraulic rescue equipment and made the scene safe before leaving the incident.

The stop message was received at 1.55pm.
