Non-statutory consultation to expand Ormiston Endeavour Academy

Our Consultation, between 1 September 2025 to 22 September 2025, on a proposal to expand Ormiston Endeavour Academy.

Suffolk County Council (SCC) is consulting on a proposal to expand Ormiston Endeavour Academy. The proposal includes a standalone teaching block to the east of the main building at the rear of the site, increased dining area and increased car parking.  The capacity of the school would rise from 900 to 1,200 students. SCC have been working closely with the leadership of the Academy and Concertus Design & Property to design the extension of the site on Defoe Road. The target date for use is September 2027.

A drop-in session will be held at the school on Wednesday 10 September, 3:00pm – 6:30pm where plans will be displayed and representatives from SCC, Concertus and the school will be available to discuss the proposal and answer questions. If you do not have access to the internet, draft plans will also be displayed on the boundary fence of the school on Defoe Road.

This non-statutory pre-application planning consultation will enable us to gather the views of parents and local residents prior to the submission of the planning application. It does not affect the right to comment on the proposals during the statutory planning consultation process.
