This 13-week Accountancy Skills Bootcamp is designed for those looking to enter the accounting field or expand their financial skill set. The course focuses on Sage accounting software, a leading tool in the industry, and provides hands-on experience with real-world accounting tasks. Whether you’re starting your accounting career or seeking to enhance your proficiency, this programme will equip you with the practical skills and knowledge you need to succeed in the accounting profession.

What will you learn?

Throughout the course, you’ll learn key accountancy principles, gain experience with financial transactions, and develop expertise in using Sage software for various accounting tasks. With additional career planning support and Sage certification opportunities, this programme ensures you are job-ready by the end of your training.

Assessment

To ensure that learners gain both theoretical and practical skills, the bootcamp includes several assessment methods:

  • Sage certification exams: throughout the programme, you will complete four Sage exams, earning certifications that are highly recognized in the financial industry.
  • Continuous assessment: you will engage in ongoing activities that mirror the daily tasks of an accountant, giving you real-world experience.
  • Feedback and reflection: receive regular feedback on your progress, engage in group discussions, and reflect on your learning to reinforce your understanding and development.

Outcome

By the end of this programme, you will have:

  • Proficiency in Sage accounting software: Be able to use Sage to record transactions, generate financial reports, and analyse business performance with confidence.

Who is eligible?

The programme is open to people that live or work within Norfolk or Suffolk.

You may be eligible to apply for a Skills Bootcamp if you:

  • are aged 19 or over,
  • have the right to work in the UK,
  • meet residency requirements (your provider will check this).

Companies will pay a small employer contribution.
