From 1 April 2024, New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) functions and responsibilities have been transferred into Norfolk and Suffolk County Councils.
A new Suffolk Business Board has been set up to advise the Council as to economic strategy and priorities, and to oversee delivery of former LEP programmes, such as the Growth Hub, and the Skills Bootcamps programmes.
An immediate priority is the development of a new economic strategy for Suffolk.
The economic strategy will be developed by the Business Board and shared with government in Autumn 2024. The strategy will form the framework for future economic decision making, including investment and funding priorities, and will provide a prospectus for the Suffolk economy.
During July 2024, we're holding workshops to ask businesses what the priorities should be for the Suffolk economy.
