Town and Parish Council website domains

The purpose of this was to redirect website traffic to the Town or Parish Council’s own website. However, the Central Digital and Data Office (CDDO), part of the Government Digital Service, have recently issued compliance notices stating that Suffolk Country Council are no longer permitted to do this domain redirecting and have requested this is ceased. Town and Parish Councils are able to apply for their own gov.uk website domain from the CDDO.

In order to comply with the compliance notice, Suffolk County Council has now terminated the redirecting of Town and Parish Council website addresses that contain suffolk.gov.uk. Traffic has been redirected to this holding page to advise of the change.
