House fire in Ipswich

Three crews from Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service were called to reports of a fire in a property on Rope Walk in Ipswich.

Upon arrival crews discovered a fire on the first floor of the property.

The fire was extinguished using two jets, and two firefighters in breathing apparatus. A positive pressure ventilation system was used to clear smoke from the property.

One male casualty was treated for smoke inhalation by the fire service using oxygen, before being handed into the care of the ambulance service.

A stop to the incident was made at 1:15am.
