Grass and undergrowth fire

Crews attended a grass, tree and undergrowth fire in a wooded area on the London Road side of Chantry Park, Ipswich. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered a fire involving grass, trees and undergrowth measuring approximately 50 metres by 30 metres. 

Firefighters used hose reels and beaters to tackle the blaze and prevent further fire spread. Additional water and personnel were requested to support firefighting operations. 

No injuries, road closures, evacuations, or property damage were reported and a stop was called at 2:49pm.
