Fire in the open on Old Felixstowe Road

Crews were called to a large fire in the open on Old Felixstowe Road, Stratton Hall.

Firefighters from multiple stations attended the scene, supported by specialist resources including a Command Support Vehicle, an Operational Support Unit and a Unimog all-terrain vehicle.

Crews worked to contain and extinguish the fire, preventing further spread and protecting nearby property.

Members of the public are advised to avoid the area while emergency services deal with the incident and to follow any instructions issued by crews at the scene.

The incident has now been closed. Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service thanks local residents for their patience while crews dealt with the incident.
