Road traffic collision involving a property in East Bergholt

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was called to a road traffic collision involving a single vehicle which had come into contact with a two-storey domestic property in Gaston End, East Bergholt.

Firefighters arrived to find a vehicle that had left the road and struck the property. Crews quickly carried out safety checks and confirmed that the stability of the building was not affected.

Firefighters worked closely with the ambulance service (ref: 2255), stabilising the vehicle and using specialist cutting and rescue equipment to assist with the safe extrication of occupants from the car. One person was able to leave the vehicle with ambulance support.

Crews from Ipswich Princes Street and Ipswich East fire stations attended the incident.
