Suffolk crews are being assisted by colleagues from Essex at a fire that began as a field fire before rapidly spreading to a nearby caravan and home.
As well as the obvious risk of fire, an oil tank and gas cylinders represent additional concerns.
Police have been informed for road closure and UK Power Networks has also been notified and will be in attendance soon.
The fire has been split into sections with crews assigned to each in order to try to control of the blaze. Firefighters are using breathing equipment and hose reel jets.
In addition to two appliances from Essex, there are six from Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service as well as a water carrier and enhanced rescue tender from Newmarket.
People are being advised to stay away from the area until the incident is resolved.
