Factory fire in Bungay

On arrival, crews found a small fire within an extraction system connected to an industrial processing unit. Staff on site had already begun tackling the fire before the arrival of the fire service.

Firefighters worked alongside site engineers to investigate the extraction system, using breathing apparatus, hose reel jets, thermal imaging cameras and a nine-metre ladder to access the affected areas and extinguish remaining pockets of fire within the pipework and upper voids.

The incident was brought under control shortly before 6.45am. A reinspection of the site was scheduled later in the morning as a precaution.

There were no reports of any injuries.
