Commercial building fire in the early hours of the morning

Crews from Lowestoft South and Bungay were mobilised, along with two crews from Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service. 

At the time of the 999 call, the hotel's residents were being evacuated due to the automatic activation of an alarm in the beer cellar, which was accompanied by a smell of burning.

The fire was out on arrival, but crews used a thermal imaging camera and gas monitor to investigate and ensure the area was safe.  

The stop message was given at 2:34am and the incident was closed at 2:50am.
