Balcony fire in Ipswich

Crews attended a fire on the balcony of a flat in Ipswich.

Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire and a thermal imaging camera to check for any remaining hotspots and fire spread. Suffolk Police arrived on scene at 7:43pm and remained in attendance. Following the incident, the occupant was handed into the care of Suffolk Police.

The fire was brought under control and crews carried out checks to ensure the area was safe. A stop was called at 7:57pm.
