Booking a Recycling Centre time slot

Re-use shops are open all week. You can visit them without an appointment and accept direct donations.

Highway Works on Leiston Recycling Centre, Lovers Lane (24 to 31 March 2026)

Highway works will be taking place on Lovers Lane between 24 March to 31 March 2026 as part of the Sizewell C project. During this period, three‑way traffic lights will be in operation to manage vehicle access to and from the recycling centre.

On arrival at the recycling centre, a site marshal will signal you to enter, providing its safe to do so. If the site is busy, you may be asked to continue on Lovers Lane and return a few minutes later.

You may not be admitted at your exact booking time due to traffic management arrangements. Please avoid this period if you can and instead book your visit for after 31st March.

How to book a time slot

Before you book

• You can make more than one booking per week to bring your own waste from home.
• Business or trade customers/vehicles can only book two appointments per 7 day period. We reserve the right to cancel any multiple bookings made in a 7 day period.

You'll need to read and agree to the terms and conditions on the booking form before you book.

You can also cancel or amend an existing booking.

Email confirmation

Check your spam/junk folder if you do not receive a booking confirmation email within 1 hour.

If you've not received a confirmation email, do not make another booking. Email the waste management team at waste.management@suffolk.gov.uk and we'll check it for you.

The booking system

• reduces the waiting times of visitors to each Recycling Centre
• helps manage traffic to avoid a dangerous build-up of vehicles on the roads
• allows site users to plan ahead and visit at an agreed time without having to queue

Opening times and severe weather closures

Recycling Centres are closed on Christmas day, Boxing day, and New Year's day.

Closures may also occur in emergencies or due to severe/extreme weather. Please check for latest information on Facebook before setting off as we're unable to contact you directly.
