As the Local Planning Authority for waste and minerals, Suffolk County Council is responsible for ensuring that the operators of minerals and waste sites comply with relevant conditions imposed as part of their planning consents. In addition, we work closely with the likes of the Environment Agency who ensure minerals and waste operators meet statutory obligations as regards noise, odour and air quality.
