East Anglia One North is a consented offshore windfarm of up to 67 turbines located 36km from Lowestoft and 42km from Southwold.
The scheme will make landfall north of Thorpeness where onshore transition bays will connect to a new onshore substation. Underground cables will connect to a new National Grid substation which in turn will connect to the electricity transmission network using existing overhead lines.
The Development Consent Order (DCO) for the project was granted jointly with East Anglia Two in March 2022.
Requirements are conditions that have been included within the DCO which control how the project it consents must be implemented. The discharging of a specific requirement may fall to the district or county council depending on the discipline involved.
