Buildings at risk in Suffolk

Information about how to find out which buildings in Suffolk are at risk through neglect and decay, or vulnerable to becoming so.

The Suffolk Register of Buildings at Risk provides details of listed buildings known to be at risk through neglect and decay, or vulnerable to becoming so.

It's a joint document between Suffolk County Council and the 7 district councils.

Above-ground Scheduled Ancient Monuments may also qualify for inclusion.

Most of the buildings and structures are in poor condition but a few in fair condition are also included, usually because they have become redundant and their long term future is uncertain. The Register helps us be aware of neglected buildings, and to decide what action is needed to deal with them.

It may also be useful for anyone looking for a property to repair and reuse, although only a small proportion of buildings on the Register are on the market at any given time.
