Suffolk County Council Election 2026 Results

The results of the Suffolk County Council elections, held on Thursday 7 May 2026, have now been confirmed.

A total of 70 councillors were elected across Suffolk’s electoral divisions following the count on Friday 8 May 2026.

The number of seats won by each party was as follows:

Reform UK - 41

Green Party - 13

Conservative - 9

Labour (and Co-operative) - 3

Liberal Democrats - 2

Independent – 2

The total number of votes recorded for each party was as follows:

Reform UK – 88,347

Green Party – 62,752

Conservative – 58,716

Labour (Including Co-operative) – 27,778

Liberal Democrat – 23,960

Independents and others – 5,526

The average turnout across Suffolk is not known yet, but early indicators show that in some divisions it was much higher than the national average, with some seeing more than a 55% of people voting.
