Alongside the rides, the Way to Go team will host a free active health and wellbeing family fun day at the Food Museum from 10am to 4pm.
Open to everyone—whether taking part in the ride or just visiting for the day—the event will offer a wide range of activities.
They include children’s balance bike races, balance‑ability sessions, opportunities to try an e‑bike or accessible cycle, free bike repairs, a cycle jumble, health and wellbeing stands, games, competitions, food, drink and much more.
It’s a chance for families to get active together, learn new skills and enjoy a lively, welcoming atmosphere.
Councillor Christopher Hudson, Suffolk County Council Cabinet Member for Transport and Highways, said: “This is a brand‑new cycling celebration for Suffolk and it is all about enjoyment, confidence and community.
“The free family fun day means everyone can get involved, and I hope it inspires more people to discover the benefits of active travel and the fantastic cycling opportunities we have across the county.”
The sportive is organised in partnership with TPR Events, a family‑run community interest company committed to delivering friendly, accessible cycling events.
