The event will celebrate and acknowledge the achievements of remarkable individuals whose stories are inspirational to others.

This year’s awards ceremony will be held on Thursday 29th June at Endeavour House, 8 Russell Road, Ipswich IP1 2BX (6:30 pm – 9:00 pm)

The Suffolk Adult Learners' Awards is an opportunity to recognize individuals who have transformed their lives and the lives of their families, friends, communities, and workplaces through learning. Nominees may have acquired new skills for personal or professional development, achieved something they never thought was possible or positively transformed their lives and the lives of those around them.

Nominating an individual for an award will provide recognition for their outstanding achievements and boost their self-confidence. It will also celebrate the positive impact of learning for learners and acknowledge the hard work, commitment, motivation, and skills of those who work within the adult education sector to support learners on their journey.

Councillor Rachel Hood, Cabinet Member for Education, SEND and Skills said:

"The annual Suffolk Adult Learning Awards provides a fantastic opportunity to celebrate and showcase the vital role adult and community education plays in enabling lifelong learning. It also supports people as they enter, return, or progress in work.

“It is also important to recognise that adult learning can help to reduce loneliness, make people happier, healthier, more confident, capable, and resilient."

You can visit the Learning Suffolk website for more information or email to obtain a nomination form learnsuffolk@suffolk.gov.uk. Each winner will receive a £200 voucher!
