The commercial team deliver highly tailored advice and guidance to a range of clients involved in commercial activity.

Suffolk County Council and other public bodies use our procurement/commercial services for their projects and have benefited from our in-depth knowledge.

We also have extensive experience of commercial property, state aid and contract law and have worked on a number of large projects connected to waste, highways, IT and facilities management.

The team

Planning

The Planning team at Suffolk County Council Legal Services helps with all aspects of planning legislation for projects of any size or scale.

We are equally comfortable managing applications for multi-million pound developments or smaller projects.

We also advise and represent clients in all aspects of planning enforcement. As well as experienced planning lawyers Suffolk County Council Legal Services has a highly experienced team of property, highway and contract lawyers who the Planning Team can involve during a project if required.

The Property team has experience of advising on a wide range of property issues, offering practical and straightforward advice to assist with all of your property needs.

The team provide advice on all aspects of property law within Suffolk Legal, working closely with Corporate Property to support officers across the County Council as well as all external clients.

The team carry out work on a broad range of property transactions and areas, including disposals, acquisitions, leases, licences, tenancies at will, easements, adverse possession and title investigations.
