Resilience support

Helping people better manage financial challenges and reduce the need for future crisis support.

Citizens Advice

Suffolk County Council is working with local Citizens Advice offices to provide financial advice and support to people who receive a Crisis Payment.

Applicants who apply for, and receive a Crisis Payment, must agree to their contact details being shared with their local Citizens Advice office. Once a Crisis Payment has been approved, Citizens Advice will then contact the applicant within 8 weeks of receiving the referral.

The aim of this support is to help people better manage their finances, access the support they are entitled to and feel better prepared for future financial difficulties.

Applicants are expected to engage with the support offered by Citizens Advice. If they do not engage, this may affect their eligibility for future support from the Crisis and Resilience Fund.

You can contact your Local Citizens Advice directly.
