What to do if you are worried about problematic sexual behaviour of a child or young person

It is important to remember that child development is a fluid process and we have reason to believe behaviours will be responsive to intervention during childhood and adolescence.

If you are worried about a child or young person’s sexual behaviour being problematic, abusive or harmful please complete the HSB consultation request form to request a case consultation with the HSB service.

When completing the request please remember to be explicit and detailed in the information you are giving, name body parts and give detail about the exact nature of the sexual concerns. “The most important thing about terminology is that accurate descriptions of the physical acts committed are used, rather than any euphemistic or jargon-ridden phrases” (Hackett, 2014).
