What is LGBTQ+?

LGBTQ+ is an abbreviation for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning and more. These terms are used to describe a person’s sexual orientation or gender identity.

Information and Advice and useful self-help resources

Outreach Youth is a youth work charity that supports young people aged 25 and under. They have been supporting and working for 10 years with lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer and questioning young people and their friends and families in Suffolk.

Stonewall is a charity that provides information, support and guidance on LGBTQ+ inclusion.

The Source provides information and advice for young people in Suffolk to include many different topics.

Suffolk PRIDE is an annual county-wide event that celebrates the LGBTQ+ community in Suffolk and a chance to come together. They also get involved in the local Suffolk community. To find out more about the work in the local community, email outreach@suffolkpride.org.uk
