Wraparound care for children of all ages, including those attending school, should be provided before and after school during term time, usually between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday as well as school holidays.
A wraparound childcare provider is anyone who delivers wraparound provision. This can include schools, wraparound childcare organisations, early years childcare organisations and childminders.
Wraparound can be delivered onsite or offsite by the providers described above. Parents should not have to pick up/drop off children between school and childcare settings.
Parents will be expected to pay for wraparound. Families can use Tax-Free Childcare or Universal Credit Childcare to help with costs.
