Suffolk Marketplace for Suffolk residents

Suffolk Marketplace is a free-to-use, web-based, directory of services and e-brokerage tool. By listing their services on the Suffolk Marketplace directory, providers can effectively advertise them to citizens across Suffolk. 

Members of the public will use Suffolk Marketplace to

• Search for care provider service listings.
• Create a shortlist of services they're interested in.
• Contact care providers using the contact information displayed on the service listing.

Care providers in scope will be prompted to register for Suffolk Marketplace and then review and edit their service listing/s. Providers will be responsible for keeping their service listings up to date and will be prompted to review their listings every 6 months. Where a provider offers a service in scope for e-brokerage, that provider will be given training on how to use the e-brokerage tool.

The Suffolk Marketplace directory will hold listings for CQC-registered, contracted and non-contracted services across these 5 categories:

• Home Care
• Residential and Nursing
• Live in Care
• Supported Housing
• Extra Care Housing

Any changes made by providers to Suffolk Marketplace service listings are forwarded to an SCC officer to review and approve before the changes become visible to the public. This is to safeguard against inappropriate content.

All services listed on Suffolk Marketplace are CQC registered. On each listing, users will be able to view the latest CQC rating for service. This is made possible through the use of an automated interface between Suffolk Marketplace, and www.CQC.org.uk.
