5 fire engines and crews alongside support vehicles arrived to find the vehicle and part of the property well alight, with the fire spreading to the ground floor, first floor, and roof space.
Crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to bring the fire under control.
A positive pressure ventilation fan was used to clear smoke from the property, and firefighters worked to remove sections of roof and external cladding to access hidden fire spread.
Electricity to the property and surrounding area was isolated by UK Power Networks (Ref: INCD555631Z).
Crews closely monitored the hybrid vehicle’s battery temperature to check for any signs of thermal runaway.
A stop to the incident was called at 10.50am. This means that no more assistance is required on scene and that the resources already in attendance are sufficient.
