Proposed Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) – Notley Road, Lowestoft

Details on the removal of the existing ‘School Keep Clear’ entrance marking outside Nos. 18 to 32 Notley Road, including the revocation of the corresponding ‘No Stopping Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm’ restriction.

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (DISTRICT OF WAVENEY) (STOPPING, WAITING AND LOADING PROHIBITIONS AND RESTRICTIONS AND ON-STREET PARKING PLACES) (MAP-BASED) ORDER 2018 (PARISH OF LOWESTOFT) (NOTLEY ROAD) (6U8068) (REVOCATION) (VARIATION NO. 34) ORDER 202-

Suffolk County Council is proposing to remove the existing ‘School Keep Clear’ entrance marking, which currently extends across the rear access to East Point Academy and outside Nos. 18 to 32 Notley Road. Removal of the road marking will require the revocation of the existing ‘No Stopping Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm’ restriction with which it is associated.

East Point Academy no longer use the access into its premises from Notley Road, therefore the existing entrance marking and No Stopping restriction is not required. The proposal will remove the redundant restriction and is intended to improve the amenities of the area by increasing opportunity for residents to park close to their homes.
