The Sizewell C outreach fund is open to applications from organisations in the VCFSE sector to offer outreach support to help bridge the gap to the labour market.

Employment outreach fund

The Sizewell C employment outreach fund will support the skills development needs of the Sizewell C project alongside the requirements of Suffolk and the wider region. The £1.6m employment outreach fund will increase of the pool of ‘work ready’ individuals within the region’s talent pool or deliver social value by bridging the gap to the labour market and increasing the supply of people to access ‘job ready’ programmes.

The Sizewell C employment outreach fund is open for stage 1 project proposals.

Currently available employment outreach fund

Total available

£800,000 (phase 1 and phase 2 of the Sizewell C construction programme)

  • Phase 1 - Site operations and enabling works: £240,000
  • Phase 2 - Main civils: £560,000

Grant amounts

Grants to providers individually agreed based on project proposals submitted. Initial awards will cover 2-3 years of delivery.

Eligibility criteria

The fund is open to applicants from the Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) sector.

Priority is given to Suffolk-based, existing outreach providers with extensive knowledge of the current provision landscape and the gaps in that provision.

Each interested provider should complete a project proposal.

Feedback will be provided on each proposal submitted.

Assessment and scoring

Proposals will be assessed and scored in alignment with the Sizewell C employment outreach fund priorities. All proposals must align with the purposes of the fund and should clearly identify the delivery and engagement methodology of each intervention programme along with the prioritisation approach and the anticipated outputs and outcomes of the programme. higher levels of alignment will be factored into allocation decisions to be made by the ESEWG.
