Roof fire in Sudbury

Crews responded to reports of smoke coming from the roof of the property.

Firefighters quickly extinguished a fire in the roof space of the building and prevented it spreading to neighbouring properties.

Firefighters wore breathing apparatus when tackling the fire and used hose reel jets.

A Stop message was declared at 11:34pm, meaning the incident was under control with no further resource needed.

One crew remained at the incident until shortly before 3:00am, while UKPN worked at the scene.

There are no reported casualties.
