House fire in Felixstowe

Firefighters from Ipswich East and Felixstowe tackled a fire in the roof of a bungalow in Upperfield Drive, Felixstowe.

The alarm was raised at 11.44am today (Wednesday June 10) and saw three fire engines and an aerial ladder platform deployed from Ipswich East, and one from Felixstowe.

Firefighters wore breathing apparatus in the course of tackling the fire, and a Stop message declaring the incident under control with no further resource needed was issued at 1.17pm.

There are no reported casualties.

An inspection of the property is due to take place later this afternoon.
