Crews from Princes Street, Orford and Leiston attended the fire, which upon arrival was found to be a tree stump that was well alight. 

Despite the caller hanging up when the 999 call was answered, Control Room staff were able to pinpoint their location. 

Two fire appliances and a water carrier were mobilised, and the fire was quickly extinguished. 

We'd like to take this opportunity to remind the public about the dangers of fires in the open. Whether lit accidentally or deliberately, they pose a significant risk to lives and property.
