Information on the proposed 20mph speed limit for Felixstowe Bloor Homes development

Suffolk County Council (district of Suffolk Coastal) (Felixstowe) (various roads) (20 mph speed limit) order 202- 

Suffolk County Council proposes to make the above order for the District of Suffolk Coastal under section 84(1)(a) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. The effect of this would be to introduce:

A 20mph speed limit to: 

  • Avocet Mews (U3127) for its entire length totalling 66 metres
  • Osprey Close (U3127) for its entire length totalling 54 metres
  • Florence Mews (U3127) for its entire length totalling 74 metres
  • Iris Road (U3127) for its entire length totalling 307 metres
  • Firefly Road (U3127) for its entire length from its junction with Jubilee Avenue (U3127) totalling 75 metres
  • Saunders Road (primary) (U3127) for its entire length totalling 198 metres
  • Saunders Road (secondary) (U3127) for its entire length totalling 48 metres
  • Sage Close (U3127) for its entire length totalling 59 metres
  • Vickers Close (U3127) for its entire length totalling 64 metres
  • Lakes Road (U3127) for its entire length from its junction with Jubilee Avenue (U3127) totalling 60 metres
  • Evaline Close (U3127) for its entire length totalling 51 metres 

Copies of the draft order, map showing the roads affected and the Council’s reasons for the proposals, may be seen with advance notice at the address below, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday; also at Felixstowe Library, Crescent Road, Felixstowe, IP11 7BY, Monday 10am-4pm, Tuesday 9am-5:30pm; Wednesday 9am-7:30pm; Thursday and Friday 9am-5:30pm; Saturday 9am-5pm; and Sunday 10am-4pm
