Barley Birch Drive, Botesdale - traffic regulation order consultation

Suffolk County Council (district of Mid Suffolk) (Barley Birch Drive) (U5423) (Holly Place) (U5423) (20 mph speed limit) order 202-

Suffolk County Council proposes to make the above order for the District of Mid Suffolk under section 84(1)(a) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. The effect of this would be to:

A 20 mph speed limit to: 

• Barley Birch Drive (U5423) from a point 205 metres south of its junction with Diss Road (B1113), extending in a south-westerly direction for the remainder of its length, measuring 254 metres, and extend also into the access road leading to Clover Close (Private) in a northerly direction for 16 metres.
• Holly Place, (U5423) from its junction with Barley Birch Drive (U5423) for its entire length, measuring 93 metres, and also extend into the access road leading to Shamrock Close (Private) in a north-westerly direction for 11 metres.

Copies of the draft order, map showing the roads affected and the Council’s reasons for the proposals, may be seen with advance notice at the address below, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday; also at Diss Library, Church Street, Diss, IP22 4DD, Monday- Friday 8am-7pm; Saturday and Sunday 10am-4pm.

Objections and any other representations relating to these proposals, specifying the grounds on which they are made, must reach Rhea Philip (Suffolk County Council Legal Services) at the address below or at Rhea.Philip@suffolk.gov.uk no later than 5 June 2025.
