You'll need to make an application even if your child is already attending a nursery class in an infant or primary school, a pre-school, or a family hub next to a school site.

This is because a place in a nursery class, pre-school or family hub does not guarantee your child a full-time place at that school.

According to their date of birth, your child should currently be in the Reception Year.

If you've recently moved or are unhappy with your child's school you can apply for a Reception Year place at a new school during the current school year (2022/2023).
