House fire on Bramford Road

Firefighters have extinguished a small kitchen fire and evacuated a female occupant who has been given oxygen due to smoke inhalation. A pile of clothing had been left on top of the cooker, and the hob had been inadvertently switched on. 

Crews used one hose reel jet and a covering jet to extinguish the fire and positive pressure ventilation to clear smoke and fumes from the property. 

Police were called to the scene to close the road.  

A stop was called at 2:41pm indicating no further resources were required.
