Garage fire in Stowmarket

Crews were called to reports of a detached garage which was well alight, on Swift Drive in Stowmarket.

They extinguished the fire using one covering jet, two hose reel jets and four firefighters in breathing apparatus. Crews checked the roof space, removing roof tiles, to check for fire spread.

Two casualties were passed into the care of the ambulance service.

A fire investigation will take place.

The incident was stopped at 9:38pm.
