Lowry Way to Stowmarket Town Centre

Suffolk County Council is proposing to upgrade existing routes between Lowry Way to the Recreation Ground in Stowmarket.
This proposal is part of phase 2 of the <a title=Active travel improvements for cycling and walking href=/coronavirus-covid-19/advice-on-travel/improvements-for-walking-cycling-and-wheeling>Active Travel Fund</a>.

Summary

The proposals include widening existing footpaths to a standard suitable for cycling, providing new pedestrian and cycle crossings and improving signage to help make walking and cycling into town easier and more convenient for people.

The route will connect residential areas with existing walking and cycling routes to fill in a ‘missing link’ in the network.
