The Education and Children's Services Scrutiny Committee is made up of 12 councillors and four statutory co-opted members.

The committee is part of the arrangements for making sure the council carries outs its responsibilities properly.

It's focus is on how the council and other organisations the council works with, or who deliver educational provision in Suffolk, secure the best possible education achievement and attainment for every child.

Along with the councillors, the four statutory co-optees with voting rights on the Committee represent the Church of England Diocese, the Roman Catholic Diocese and two parent governors.
