Picture Books For All is funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, which means Suffolk Archives are able to provide free entry to the exhibition. The National Lottery Heritage Fund distributes funding which is made possible thanks to National Lottery players.
In August, Suffolk Archives worked with Tower Street Print Project (TSPP) on a week-long summer school for GSCE and A Level art students. The group developed skills in print making; their final work is used on the exhibition marketing materials and will be used in their portfolios.

Film Screening – Eric Ravilious – Drawn to War, Thursday 24 November, 7pm – 9.00pm, £7
Drawn to War tells the true story of Eric Ravilious, one of Britain’s greatest landscape artists, who died in a plane crash while on commission as Official War Artist in Iceland in 1942. His life is as compelling and enigmatic as his art, set against the dramatic wartime locations that inspire him. The film brings to life this unique and still grossly undervalued British artist caught in the crossfire of war 80 years ago, whose legacy largely sank without trace, until now.
Picture Books For All runs until Sunday 8 January 2023 at The Hold on Ipswich Waterfront. Entry is free and open to all ages.
Exhibition opening times are 9:30am-4:30pm Monday to Friday, with late opening on Thursdays. And 10:00am - 4:00pm Saturday and Sunday.
Events are ticketed, and can be booked by visiting the Suffolk Archives website.
The Café At The Hold is open daily for visitors to drop in for refreshments.
