SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (DISTRICT OF WAVENEY) (STOPPING, WAITING AND LOADING PROHIBITIONS AND RESTRICTIONS AND ON-STREET PARKING PLACES) (MAP-BASED) ORDER 2018 (LOWESTOFT) (WESTWOOD AVENUE) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) (VARIATION NO. 39) ORDER 202-
Suffolk County Council proposes to make the above order under Sections 1(1) and (2), 2(1) to (3) 4(2) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which would incorporate revision 0 of Map Tile AU193 and substitute revision 2 of Map Tile AU194 in place of revision 1 of the same Map Tile, into the above-named 2018 Order.
The effect of this would be to introduce: ‘No waiting at any time’ on
• Westwood Avenue (U8106), Lowestoft, on its south side from a point 33 metres north-west from the centre of the junction of Briarwood Road (U8037) to northwest for a total distance of 22 metres.
Exemptions to the waiting restrictions allow a vehicle to wait for so long as is necessary to board or alight or to load and unload for building, industrial or demolition works, for emergency services, for the maintenance of the road or its services and to fulfil statutory duties. There are the usual setting down/picking up exemptions for blue badge-holders.
